Last modified 15 Feb 2026 14:18 +01:00

This is the practical part of our First steps methodology. Having gone through the methodology of the first steps in your IGA deployment, you are ready to put it into practice by going through our First steps training. By the end of the course, you will have learned how to connect applications to midPoint, map, synchronize, and harmonize data between them, and automate the integration process.

Page Description

1. Connect source system

Connect the first target system and evaluate the quality and structure of the data it contains.

2. Integrate target system

Connect the target application system to midPoint

3. Provision to target system

Enable data delivery to the target Active Directory application to move forth with the automation of your midPoint IGA setup.

4. Automate provisioning

Automate username generation, account creation, and target application group membership.

5. Verify configuration behavior

Test how your midPoint configuration enforces data consistency across connected applications

6. Rectify source data

Sometimes, you may need to manually take over the target systems and overwrite the data coming from the source system. This sections explains how to go about it.

Bonus points

Additional resources that are not tightly bound to the First steps training but you may find them useful
